Farr Nezhat, MD, FACOG, FACS

Farr Nezhat, M.D., FACOG, FACS, is a Professor of Obstetrics and
Gynecology and Director of Gynecologic Minimally Invasive Surgery at
Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He is a pioneering
leader in applying minimal access surgery to malignant and benign pelvic
gynecologic pathologies. He is nationally and internationally known for
his research, teaching and clinical contributions to the field of
gynecological oncology and pelvic surgery.
Dr. Nezhat is board certified in Obstetrics and
Gynecology and Gynecological Oncology. He is a full time faculty member
of the Division of Gynecological Oncology and the Director and
Fellowship Director of the Gynecological Minimally Invasive Surgery
Division at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He also serves
as the Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Mercy Medical Center in
Rockville Centre, New York.
In addition to authoring more than 120
scientific articles and over 50 book chapters, Dr. Nezhat is co-author
of two textbooks that detail his techniques. He serves on the Editorial
Board of the Journal of the Society of Laparoendoscopic
Surgeons and the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology
and is past President of The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons for the year 2002. He is a member of several different
medical societies and serves as an advisor in some. Dr. Nezhat travels
worldwide to share the knowledge of his techniques and participates in a
multitude of events and seminars. He is actively involved with The
Endometriosis Association. Dr. Nezhat practices and performs
surgeries at Mount Sinai Hospital and Mercy Medical Center, and has
